Adipex 37.5mg

Adipex is used as an appetite suppressant. It is indicated in obese patients whose body mass index is equal to or more than 30. Obesity is one of the leading causes for many life threatening disease like cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and accidents. Hence it is important to control obesity with drugs like Adipex along with exercise and dietary regulations.

Adipex is generally available in the dosage of 37.5 mg. It should be used in the morning 2 hours after breakfast. Evening doses are generally avoided because it causes insomnia. So even if you miss a dose in the morning do not try to use it in the evening.

Adipex 37.5 mg is available in the tablet and capsule forms. The Adipex 37.5 mg tablet is a white oblong tablet with blue speckles on it. The Adipex 37.5 mg capsule is a blue and white capsule with two blue bands.

The common side effects of Adipex 37.5 mg are nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, diarrhea, constipation, palpitations or increased heart rate, increase in the blood pressure, hyperactivity because Phentermine is a central nervous system stimulant, restlessness, insomnia, tremor, and dizziness.

Adipex is reported to cause a very high blood pressure in the pulmonary artery which is called pulmonary hypertension, when it is used concomitantly with fenfluramine. This is a very serious complication. Adipex is also a drug which causes dependence and addiction. It also causes drug withdrawal symptoms when stopped suddenly. Hence the dose of Adipex should be gradually tapered down.

Adipex is contraindicated in patients with high blood pressure and atherosclerosis because it itself causes an increase in the blood pressure.
